No questions, just wanna say love you & thank you for being my safe space for legit the last 20 years. You have been one of the most consistent things in my life & idk if you know how much you've helped over the years. You saved my life & I am forever grateful ❤
Planned on getting a senses fail tattoo with lyrics from a pull the thorns song - any chance you'd wanna create the design to go along with it?! (/curious what your favorite lyrics from that album would be?) much love 🌸🌸
Your music has seriously helped me through some dark times. Over a decade of heavy drug addiction, mental health, and suicide attempts. Your lyrics have really helped pull me through and still gives me motivation to keep moving. There's definitely alot of senses fail vibes in the music i write. Thank you for doing what you do
Hey Buddy, if and when you have time... Favorite lyric you've written about CPTSD and trauma shit? I want to eventually incorporate something Senses Fail in my "I survived generational trauma and both my parents amd all I got was this epic tattoo" tattoo. Lol. Seriously though. I'm designing pieces to take to an actual artist to make into something pretty, and I want something from SF in it. I had a weird idea about the skeleton logo inside a circle, like sun rise/daybreak. I can't decide if that would look rad, so maybe just the words?
I promise to share photos of it when I get around to doing it.
I'd love to see the "re-imagined" series continued with your other albums. I really like hearing how older/more experienced musicians would tackle the songs.
I would also really like to see a song or two from the past that is very depressed reimagined to the new hopeful dad personality type lyrics. Maybe respond to your younger self? Take the old music, add experienced musicianship and the advice you'd give your kid if they were in the position you were in.
What draws you to write so often about the sea? I noticed that the sea is a common theme in your lyrics. I'm thinking of songs like 'Can't Be Saved' and 'Rum is for Drinking and not for Burning', etc. As an old sailor myself, those references bring me back to my days at sea.
Been listening to you and your music for about 15 years now. It’s been a big part of my life and getting through some rough times. I wanna know if you guys plan on re-releasing your albums on vinyl anytime soon? Would love to have them all.
How do you quiet your mind enough to meditate? I feel like I have a million thoughts running through my head whenever there is supposed to be silence and I can't focus enough to enjoy things that are supposed to relax you like meditation or even a massage. I've been having an existential crisis and I don't know how to stop the thoughts or even work through them.
Also, I've said this a lot throughout the years and still am not sure how to better verbalize how much your music has meant to me. You've helped me through breakups. You've helped me feel not so alone. You've helped motivate me to kick my own ass at the gym. Thank you for being there and helping me grow.
I just want to say thank you for your amazing music you have helped me in my life I was in a car accident in 2009 and your music has helped me. I’ve known your band since I was in 6th grade and I’m turning 30 in 4 days. I wish I could get to your concert in Massachusetts but I’m broke and my life is a total suck fest right now. I appreciate the hours I’ve spent rocking out to your music I love your lyrics and how heavy you can get. I can listen to all of your albums and not skip a song. I love all the best cowboys have daddy issues but your whole still searching album and let it enfold you album I have been listening to a lot lately. Thank you for the years of great music and I hope I can get to a future show of yours.
Most valuable thing you've learned while processing trauma/CPTSD? Either a skill or just something from your journey that might help me and others doing the same? Thanks so much. Your words have helped me cope so much over the years.
I'm about to start doing the really painful shit... Digging into what I know about what happened and what we suspect, and I definitely think I needed to read that. Thank you.
First, thank you for all of the absolutely beautiful music through the years. I guess my question is, will the podcast be coming back? I thought it was pretty great.
Yes, Im launching a podcast on here tomorrow. It is a retrospective on every song Ive written in Senses Fail. Literally every single one. The Story behind it, the writing process and recording process. Also the accurate lyrics because they are always wrong online.

How are you feeling about having a baby boy?
Do you still keep in contact with Garrett? If so how’s he been?

What are some of your favorite things to cook? Other than that amazing mac and cheese. Lol

The ability to know that every emotion and feeling has an end to it.
